We serve the villages of Thorpe Hesley and Scholes near Rotherham, Yorkshire.

Our monthly magazine, Grapevine, also contains lots of useful phone numbers and bits and pieces of information you might find helpful. Many local businesses advertise within its pages. If there is anything further you need to know, please ask anyone at Church and we will be happy to help.

Chapeltown Amateur Swimming Club

Formed since 1960, providing competitive swimming coaching to both local and Yorkshire level; also encouraging the fun element with regular social events for swimmers and their families.

Trinity Community Centre

The Trinity Community Centre can be booked by contacting the Centre Manager, Steve Baker on 0114 245 9665. Within the Community Centre, there is a new library with internet access. For further information, contact the library staff on 0114 245 7027.

Community Groups

The Thorpe Hesley and Scholes Community Forum exists to support the local community.

Scholes has a Village Association, details of which can be found on their website.

Thorpe Hesley Village Band

Meets in the Church Hall on Sunday evenings from 7.00 till 8.30pm.

Thorpe Hesley Village Choir

Meets on a Wednesday evening at Thorpe Hesley Junior School at 7.00pm. The concert secretary is Pauline Armitage.

Thorpe Hesley Womens Institute

Meets in the OAP Centre on Brook Hill on the first Wednesday of every month at 7pm.

Doctors and Pharmacy

There are two doctors' surgeries and a pharmacy, all situated opposite the church, at the junction of Sough Hall Road and Sough Hall Avenue.

Grapevine
