pet service
The anual pet service was held in July. Lots of dogs attended as well as other animals and of course Jan's girls Megan and Bethan. Together we celebrated animals in our world and the joy and help they bring to so many people in so many different situations.

village OPEN GARDENS 2010

A big thank you to everyone who supported this event on July 3rd. We had a very successful and enjoyable day with over 150 visitors and have raised £2147.73 for Church funds.

Also thank you to the local newspapers who printed articles and to Yates Newsagents and Wentworth Garden Centre for allowing us to put up advertising boards. The winner of a £10 Garden Voucher for the lucky programme was Mr RL Bradley from Ardsley.

Hand bells
In March's edition of Grapevine you will find an article about the proposed idea of purchasing a set of 25 hand bells. The idea is that there my well be those who would like to donate a hand bell in memory of someone and each bell will be engraved with that persons name on it. Each bell will cost £300 and there will be a special service during which the bells will be dedicated. If this is something which you are interested in being a part of then please have a word with Jan. In connection with this a group of five of us will be attending a hand bell ringing class in Ecclesfield on Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm -7.45pm again if this interests you please have a word with Jan.
